About Us
The Security Traders Association of Florida connects the professionals who keep Florida’s capital markets running, broker-dealers, asset managers, exchanges, service providers and the financial institutions that support them. As a state chapter of the national Security Traders Association, our members share more than an industry: they share the conviction that this business is built on real relationships and plain dealing, an idea baked into our very name. Dictum meum pactum — my word is my bond — isn’t just our motto, it’s how we operate.
Officers, a board of directors, and a network of past presidents guide the organization, but STA Florida runs on its members. Through year-round programming, mentorship, and advocacy, we give the people working in Florida’s financial services industry a place to learn from each other, stay current on the issues shaping their work, and build professional relationships that last well beyond any single meeting or conference.
Each year, that community comes together at our Annual Conference, three days of education, networking, and a little friendly competition. It’s the biggest event on our calendar, but far from the only one. STA Florida hosts programming throughout the year to keep members connected.
Giving back matters to us, too. Alongside our conference, STA Florida selects a charitable foundation to support each year — recent honorees include The Promise Fund of Florida and Kids Beating Cancer — because a strong industry should also be a strong neighbor.
